Jirachi grans all sorts of wishes, except for mine; I wished that Gamestop was giving out rare Pokémon that I didn't already have. Alas, if you live in the US and didn't get a Jirachi on that Pokémon Colosseum bonus disc, here's another chance. Bring your game and a DS to <s>an area outside Gamestop where your DS can pick up its wi-fi signal</s> your local Gamestop between February 27th and March 13th and you can pick up your own Jirachi.

Well there's good news coming your way from Pokémon Sunday, Japan's answer to Meet The Press, on which the chief director of Game Freak announced that the next Pokémon game will have a new Pokémon, who either has some serious hair or very asymmetrical arms. Judge for yourself in the video below.

Pokémon Soul Silver and Heart Gold is reported to work with a new Pokémon-related pedometer, the PokéWalker. Instead of a having a Pikachu that is trapped on the device forever, you can transfer any Pokémon you want from either G/S remake, and make it stronger by walking around. Sounds like the Poké Walker is going to be DY-NO-MITE!

It's finally been confirmed; Pokémon Gold and Silver remakes are coming to the DS in the near future. They're called Pokémon Heart Gold and Pokémon Soul Silver, and are scheduled to be released in Japan this fall. Not many details have been released about them, but they darn well better include the Kanto region.

Wow, has it been eight years already? Seriously, I actually had to check whether it was seven or eight, but it's the latter. On October 13th, 2000, Pokémon Zeo opened its doors to the world, offering the tools to make a wide variety of fake Pokémon cards, and several sets of their own. While the site may have slowed down lately (case in point, the 6 updates over the course of the last year, all by yours truly), but it's still standing, and so are the forums and chat. If you want to pay your regards, remember, this is the new link to the forums.

The above picture is a collection of Zeo-related entries from the Impostor Minineko Pokédex, including Mechachu, Crystal Onix, and Epoch Primordis original Parduseye.

Disclaimer: Don't do Google Image Search unless you have SafeSearch on, if you're one of those impressionable young people that visits the site.

In the midst of a recent Google Image Search for Sneasel (of whom I made an awesome fake card on the forums), I noticed something rather cool. Turns out that pictures of Sneasel from Zeo are the #1 and #2 images to come up. Further research yielded other Pokémon images from Zeo that came up fairly high on the search results:

Lapras - #1, #2
Arcanine - #1
Mewtwo - #4
Onix - #2 (Crystal Onix - #1)
Porygon - #2, #3
Umbreon - #9

Way to go, Zeo! And way to go, Pur, for drawing all those awesome images!

I figured that it was finally time to get that picture of Diddy Kong off of the top of the page. I'd also like to take this time to wish people a happy belated Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year, Pur's Birthday, Martin Luther King Day, Valentine's Day, President's Day, St Patrick's Day, Zang's Birthday, and Easter.

Now where was I? Oh yeah, Pokémon News. Toys [backwards R] Us is giving away Darkrai, one of those ridiculously elusive Pokémon from Diamond/Pearl on May 31/June 1. Of course, I already have a Darkrai <s>trophy in Brawl</s>. More good news if for some reason you still don't have Diamond or Pearl - to commemorate the release of the new Mystery Dungeon games, this week Circuit City is selling Diamond and Pearl for $24.99 each, and Emerald for $14.99 (in case you're in the market for a Rayquaza).

See ya in August! =^u.u^=

A few Pokémon tidbits on this Monday. First of all, Pokémon Snap was released on Virtual Console earlier today. It can be yours <s>again</s> for 1000 Wii points, and as mentioned below, you can send your pictures to your friends in convenient non-sticker form.

In addition, Bonsly has been confirmed to appear in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Apparently, his practicality is limited to being a medicine ball with legs and Krusty the Klown hair. He packs a wallop, though.

Don't forget to check the Zeo Forums while they're still around. Just don't say "the".

So that's the news for today. It seems, much to the dismay of Bonsly, when it rains it pours.

Familiar with the Global Trade Station, the #1 source of foreign Pokémon? Well, all that data transferred through Nintendo's WFC has been turned into the most obscenely detailed Pokémon trading website. You can track Pokémon being traded in real time, see which Pokémon are being traded frequently, and search the entire list of deposited Pokémon based on species without having to be logged through your DS. Best part is, the GTS music from Diamond/Pearl plays in the background. You could make an afternoon out of discovering all of the features.

It's Pokemon Trainer! He uses Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard. You can switch them in and out, and they fight for you while you stand in the background and issue commands. They have stamina (HP), as well as a shared life bar. Seems like a really interesting game mechanic, and a really awesome treat for Pokemon fans.

I REALLY hope this doesn't mean Jigglypuff is taken out. Mewtwo and Pichu, sure. But not the Puff.

Ech stumbled upon a most interesting find on eBay. It's an auction for one of the rarest Pokémon TCG cards in the world. As such, its asking price is an astounding $250. While the person selling this card doesn't know much about this card, there's plenty of information about it on this very website...

...under the "Fake Cards" section.

That's right, it's the Zeo Promo Electric Soldier Porygon, given out at the WCSTS in 2001. It's a mark of Team Hoax's craftsmanship that we often find that these promos end up on eBay. You can see the auction here, if you're wondering what a gullible eBayer looks like.

Disclaimer: Pokémon Zeo does not condone the sale of fake Pokémon cards, let alone Zeo Promos. Keep and treasure them; some of them are really shiny.

Update: Sold today for $10. Joke's on him, Electric Soldier Porygon is a lot rarer than a $10 bill.
