if you do, well, sunday sept. 10th could be your lucky day. there's a free screening of the new movie, "lucario and the mystery of mew" at the ImaginAsian theater, at 239 East 59th Street, between 2nd & 3rd Avenues. tickets are free, but you'll need to pick them up in person starting at 11:30 a.m. seating of course is limited, so bear that in mind if you're planning on attending. they might run out of tickets. i'll be there for sure!
one really exciting bonus for this event -- this will be the first (and reportedly last) time the lucario costume will be here in the us, so if you want your picture taken with lucario, you want to get to this screening! goodness knows i want my picture taken with lucario, so i'll be lining up for that.
hope to see you at the event! i saw the movie last summer in tokyo and even though i don't really understand much japanese i really enjoyed it. (that's the up side of a pokemon movie - half the dialogue is in "pokemon" anyways.) BUT i have seen the dubbed version as well, and it's really pretty good. i'm not sure if they had the old voice actors or if the new ones are just doing an incredible job of mimicry, but it sounded just like the original voice actors to me. the story is enjoyable and there's heaps of adorable mew action. the movie starts at noon, but remember - if you want to get tickets, they'll start distributing them at 11:30.
as a side note, i find it interesting that amtrak is in on this promotion. could there be a pokemon train in the near future?!?! i'd ride it.
