anyway, all three fake card sets are now in full swing. the "Gym: Islands" set is aslo coming along well, although they STILL lack an official name. i've seen the gym: islands site and it's looking really good.... project: z.e.o. is also working hard, and they have a couple cards that are almost ready to be displayed....

ask for us. well pure and i are just putting the finishing touches on the next primordis card, and that should be up later today so make sure to check back. we'll also try and make sure to have a project: z.e.o and "gym:islands" card for you to start off the week and month tomorrow!

• pregistration is required!! no walkups this year, guys. pregistration will start on October 8th.

• the san diego convention center has been offically confirmed. we found out months ago, but they could always have changed it on us, right?

• side events are gonna be cool! ranging from free to five dollars, there will be something for everyone. this year they will have...

unlimited side tournaments---info pending
modified side tournaments---info pending
booster drafts--- it will be a gym block, rather than anything newer or older as gym is the easiest sets to draft. most likely you'll get 3 packs of heros and 3 packs of challenge.

ech's "tip 'o the day" don't attempt to learn a new program at 5am.... especially when you want to try and use that program well enough to get something done right then... @_@

Attack Super Squad: Your job will be to come up with different attacks and Pokémon Powers for the Pokémon cards we will be making. We won't use these for every card. Forum-goers(Zeophytes) will be filling in the mass proportion of these, You'll be the back-up Attack Squad for when we need an odd Pokémon Power or attack for a card. If you're needed, we'll let you know, and you'll have a certain amount of time to respond. This is so we have the card finished in time and ready to be posted. To be considered for this, you'll need to email us a small list of Attacks, costs for those attacks, and Pokémon Powers. Be sure to label which Pokémon that attack/Pokémon Power is made to be used for.

Layout Super Squad This will be a somewhat more 'specialized' Squad, made up of a lot fewer people than the Attack Squad. What your job will be is setting up the layouts for the cards and getting them ready to be posted. By layout, I mean placing the picture, attack/weakness/resistance/retreat symbols and the text, along with anything else if necessary. You'll need to be able to readily crank out Pokémon cards in an extremely timed fashion in order to get the cards posted on time. To be considered for this Squad, you'll need to email 2 or 3 examples of card layouts, using all the correct fonts and placing text and symbols where they go. It's also required that you use PhotoShop to layout the cards with. Not only is it easier to place text, but it makes the overall appearence look good.

Poke-Picture Super Squad This Squad is more specialized than both the Attack-Squad and the Layout Squad. Your job is to draw Pokémon pictures for cards that we haven't received submissions for. If we don't receive a submission for a certain Pokémon inside the time we need one, your job is to provide a picture of the pokemon for use on the card. You will receive credit on the card, as well as anyone whose picture we use on a card. To be considered for this squad, you must email 2 or 3 pictures of different Pokémon, colored preferred.

there should be enough there for everyone to have some help in the set. they're making all 251 pokemon, so if golem is your favorite, don't hesitate to draw a rockin' golem pic and think up some earth shattering attacks. (sue me for the puns.... its late... everything seems funny right now... :P)

okay..... since i can't think up any FAKE news either... let's just have a quick look at the QTs that have been going on.

seems like people are trying different types of decks, however the damned cajun cayman is riptiding it's way to number 1. thats good for people who like to play to the metagame, but bad for people who like fun.

there are ways to beat the feral gator tho.... if you look close at the cards. it seems like slowkrow (or is that murking?) can hold it's own, but still even a krow can be riptided easily.

personally, i think that GRASS is the way to go. there are a lot of good grass pokemon that are overlooked, as well as trainers too. kinda funny tho, because then if grass dominates people will switch to fire, and from fire to water.... LEAVING MY PSYLINK TO REIGN SUPREME!!! ;)

Hello, my name is Kajio Makaze and like my predecessor, I don't really know what to say here. PokÈmon news has been rather stagnant recently, aside from the upcoming STS. But before the spotlight moves on (you don't get off that easy), check out a few things about the GameCube here if you haven't already.

Ummm... Don't forget the next Zeo expansion naming over in the forums. I'm not sure if the time limit's up on that, but a suggestion or two for future reference can't hurt. You can feel free to post about a lot of things in the Chatterbox there (as long as it follows the forum rules), just remember that it's not a junkpile and this is an Honor Guard uniform, not a janitor's outfit.

Well the new season of pokemon has officially started in the US, i think the UK, and it's finally scheduled to start up here in canada too! HOPEFULLY ytv will be showing new episodes today (even tho their webguide says otherwise,i have faith...) starting off season 4.

also, we've been able to get a partial spoiler for all the episodes in this season form ytv. these are just the 'tv guide' descriptions mind you, and not a full spoiler, but still, if you like to be surprised, don't read it. hmmm... conversly, if you want to know what to expect (and what episodes could be safe to miss. :D ) then take a look.

Yes, just my luck I was given my 15 minutes of fame here at Zeo and I have no idea what to do with these 15 minutes. Lets see here, uh a lot is going on in the world, but I'm not sure about the pokemon world… umm I'm excited about the Nintendo Gamecube coming out this November 18th so I can play the new Super Smash Bros. game when it comes out on December 3rd, that kinda has to do with pokemon. I made a new pokemon deck which I'm probably going to post on the forums tomorrow morning… I mean later today. I've probably made you bored haven't I? Well uh… click this linky thing and have lots of fun.

Wasn't that fun? Well over at the forums Eric's Mewtwo is having a naming contest (I think its over but the post is still there) for one of the new Zeo sets. Needless to say I think everyone needs to go to that post and demand that the sets name be "Zeo: Bowling for Trout" and if you don't then shame on you. • well for all of you who were awaiting the pokemon johto championships, looks like you'll have to wait a bit longer. according to the kidswb schedule, they've moved it back to the 22nd and 29th..... guess no new theme song yet.
• while the nyc qualifier has been postponed, there is still a qualifier in salt lake city, memphis, and philadelphia, as well as roanoke on sunday. check out the sts section for more details about the two of these.

• rumor has it.... (although poinko can't remember where... or when... or even why... go flog him, not me) that the fourth pokemon movie is coming.... this november. @_@ hmmm..... that kinda makes things interesting seeing as how Mewtwo Lives hits the shelves in december, and it occurs BEFORE the fourth movie.... hmm... of course i'm sure people will start asking 'what promo do we get?!' pretty soon too.

• now here's something to think about. one of the the most sought after card in japan, birthday pikachu, is being.... released. in the latest issue of Pokemon Ni Natta Wake (on sale 09/23/01) there is a birthday pika, with new art.

rather interesting that they re-released it. wonder if it's a sign of things to come...

well today is the day that gamecube is launched in japan... and only two months until it shows up here.

anyway, magmar2000 one of our affiliates has given us some cool ecard video. man.... these games look fun. i mean who DOESN'T want to drop rocks on a machop's head?! okay... so we really have no idea what these are from... or what you do, but they sure look cool! hmmm.... my best guess is that the larvitar/pika game is from the ana promos

and that poor sneasel. i mean it looks like she's banned for life. <sniff> in japan she's feared and respected, and as a cool name... but here... they don't let her in tournaments, they mock her with giant "BANNED" pictures, and most of all.... she's called a 'Sneasel'. i mean people say 'gesundheit' when she introduces herself.

....yes, poor ms. sneasel should really get a lawyer and sue...

not very surprisinly, the qualifier scheduled for nyc this weekend has been postponed. currently we don't know when it will be held, but dmtm assured us that it will be rescheduled.

also, there is a wotc chat tonight, even tho mtm is stranded in vermont right now. looks like either dmtm will fly solo, or he'll have the help of 'dark master in training', dark apprentice steve.

and we're also working on the sts pages as well... we have some reports to do up (eh heh heh... pure and i kinda forgot to write ours up.) as well as more researching.

and in addition to this, we also have a problem with the 'vending' set. the co-ordinators can't come up with a name! hmmm.... so unless they think something up, it'll be called "bowling for trout" edition. ;)

not really much else to say, as the honerable mr. blaire says a lot. something like this really effects everyone. as everything is still developing and being unvieled, all that one can really do is attempt to live lives as well as they can. we send our deepest consolances to everyone that has family or know people in the areas... and also those who them themselves live in new york and washington and who are directly effected by this... the ones that have had to live this firsthand, and whom could have easily been effected more.

again, after this there is a need for donations.... they are in great need for blood, and anyone that can give blood, is urged to. contact your local redcross to find out how to go about and do so. and even if you're too young to donate blood, perhaps donate time and volunteer to hand out drinks or refreshments. pure, vash and i all went to donate blood yesterday... and while i was able to make an appointment, pure had a long wait.... you can read about it on sugarshock.

once again, pure and i, along with everyone else give our deepest condolences to everyone involved in this, and God bless everyone.

pretty much everyone has heard about the horrible terrorism that happened earlier today (and for all we know is still going on).....

people i know have been checking in all day....vash is fine, his family is fine, and some other people i know down in that area of new york are ok.

vash was on his way to work when the towers were attacked. they announced over the intercom what had happened and as vash got off he took these pics with his handspring's digital camera. this is from midtown, about three or four miles away from the world trade center. vash says the pics really didn't turn out, cause you cannot see all the smoke and dust that was billowing in the air, but here they are.....

vash said the whole city is just shut down....trains, subways, tunnels and bridges. he's stuck at work til they open up the public transportation. he went out a while ago to get some food, and says there are f-14's flying overhead. a plane will go by and people think it's another attack.

i hope the casualties are as minimal as possible, and i'd like it if the forum goers or people in general just wanted to sign in in the forum topic, so we know how you're doing.

also, those of you who are able, please take the time today to go donate blood. especially in the areas of the attack, but even if you aren't, at least you can feel like you're doing something. i think we all have grown to realize that disasters can strike just about anywhere. here are some links for blood donation information.

call your local blood bank, hospital or red cross for more info, or call 1-888-BLOOD-88. please.....they desperately need it. not only in the united states but canada as well. if you are 18+, or 16-17 with parental permission, weigh at least 110 pounds and are healthy, please help. go as a group, there are people who are badly injured and need your help.

i hope you are all doing ok....there is just too much horror in the world lately.

well, hack and megs got to the sf qualifier... and from the sounds, they had a great time too. in fact, as of 11pm est, they were still there! ...and as of 5am, they still haven't gotten back to give us a report! :P

anyway, it sounds like there was a good turnout, and if its any indication, this sts will be pretty cool! i think there are already 8 people from zeo that are pretty much assured to get to san diego this winter, with many more trying to make arrangements.

speaking of making arrangements, hotels will be goings fast i'm sure, as people start to make reservations. pure spent the day updating the sts page with information about san diego as well as hotels in the surrounding area. of course we've never really been to san diego so we can't really tell you how good each hotel is, but it's a start!

wow... the sts season has quickly fallen upon us again... this time vying to go to san diego.

now even if you're over 14 and can't win the free trip, you should still check out the qualifier in your area... many of them are holding booster drafts which are a LOT of fun.... i've you've never been in one, it's really an experience worth living. i know i tried to hold one at my league, with mixed results.... everyone was grabbing the rares. @_@

here are a few tips for making the most out of your drafting experiences.

anyway, pure worked hard on the sts section, adding in a BUNCH of info for all the qualifiers. dates, locations, times, contact info..... you can find a lot of it in the

eh heh... monday kinda was hit with the curse of "forgetting to make a new table" and thus will be lost forever. <sniff> monday served us well, and shall be sorely missed...

• The last of the STS packages have been shipped out today and should be arriving in your hot little hands soon. and this isn't the last promotion either. we've already thought up the wcsts promotion (tres cool i might add...) and we're working on zeo and sugarshock shirts as well as a set of sugarshock buttons. watch for details soon.

the unit will ship in japan this november for about $40 US and include the game "pokemon party mini." and three other games, "pokemon pinball mini", "pokemon zany card" and "pokemon puzzle collection" will retail for about $10. ...and i am sure that many more games will follow suit.

the main draw backs that i see to this are, the fact that it's in black and white... not much room for expansion there, but it's surprisingly clear. and the fact that... this is the actual size. @_@ [invisions everyone holding their thumbs to the screen] i would say the unit roughly measures 4 inches by 2 inches... great for people with small hands, but a nightmare for those without.
japanese release date is november, and i'd bet that we'll see it here before christams... it just seems like a christmassy thing that niintendo would push. i mean seriously... what else IS there pokemon-wise this holiday season? :/

• The last of the STS packages will be shipping soon.... pure just has to pop them in toploaders and put them in the envelopes.... look for them to be sent off in the next couple days, and to start arriving early next week.

you can tell that these were made by media factory, and are not official english variants because they still use the japanese placings and font styles. the english cards we saw in corocoro use the traditional 'stacked' energy placement, and a different font structure as well.

of course, it still remains to be seen how these will end up when/if the set comes out in english.

anyway, pure is finally homeward bound from utah.... she'll be back in her own apartment... away from being away... let's all hope she has a better trip home than she did going there. man... i thought i had bad luck on planes... pure seems to have it to. hmm.... we'd better not travel together or else we're liable to end up in south america or something. :D
