wooooooo! we have a bit of a midday update for you! pure worked really hard this morning and was able to make a complete halloween themed desktop. awww.... how cute. we have a larvitar and meowth all decked out in halloween attire.... i really like the style its done in too, its really different than other styles i've seen pure do. hmmm... maybe we should let you see it, huh? ;) trick or treat! twas the eve of all hallows and all through the night ghosts, witches, and goblins were causing a fright .... there would be more to this sonnet had i pre-thought it out rather than waiting for the update to come about. ^_^' ...man, do you realize how hard it is to come up with a nice looking orange background that does no hurt one's eyes? not much today, but pure has a mini little pokemon center report... its hard to beleive its almost been a year.... well, i went to the center again today, hoping the promos would be available. they weren't.... -_- i had one employee who told me they were web ontly, but i asked another guy i know a bit better, and he told me that the promos would be handed out starting in november, to coincide with the month long anniversary promotion. i'll give you a more detailed rundown on that tomorrow, but i will say that they are giving away more free stuff! every day, the first 100 people to make a purchase receive a free small pokemon plush, new plush each day. if you spend $50, you get a free large plush. i must call and find out when totodile day is.... anyways, in addition to that, each day between 2 and 5, any purchase nets you a free pvc figure (changes daily) and from 5 to 7, any purchase gets you a free pack of 4 promos. i'd assume they were the 2 new ones and the 2 old ones.....i asked and the guy wasn't sure but he said it was probable. each sunday, those 14 and under can get their picture taken with a different pokemon character, and there are different activities planned for saturdays as well. nov 16 is the anniversary of the store opening, and there are a lot of things planned for that day, including screenings of pokemon 4 ever in rockerfeller center! anyways, i'll be back tomorrow with a calendar of events for your convienience! i seriously remember when the center was just opening last year... and i remember the first time i went there. :) it was really more than i had imagined. anyway, it's really nice to have pure who is able to get down there pretty much every week and let us know whats going on. i really think that there will be some cool promotions on the 16th, and i really think its cool that they're playing pokemon4ever in rockefeller center. hmm... speaking of pokemon4ever screenings tho, it seems that they are changing around the schedules for our favorite pokemon movie. they had a lot of people asking about the limited release and so starting last friday, the theaters were actually rotated. as well, it seems like there are celebi promo cards where there weren't any before. procrastination_alley from the forums said that he was able to get some promos, even though there were previously reports that none were available in canada. soooo... don't discount seeing pokemon4ever and not getting promos yet. if you haven't recently checked your theaters, go take a look now! that about does it. remember to dress warm (especially if you're in calgary.... lousy 10° weather....) and be safe and have fun tonight!

[ech] well... is it actually SUPPOSED to be able to live to 'win the race' [ang] i dunno... i didn't make the attacks. [ech] i mean its a good card and all, but i just dont know if he can win the race is all. [ang] hmm yes... i'll take that into consideration. [ech] ...take.... what into consideration? [ang] its ascii free. [ech] are you even listening to me?! [ang] Prima's Slowpoke... now 97% ascii free!   well battle zone is whats on everyone's minds right now. [ang] yup.... 97% ascii free... [ech] ....your part of the update is over.... anyway, battlezone is just having some details finalized before its ready for mainstream release next month, but we managed to get a bit of information about it... including distribution and some finer details. big thanks to farbsman who scanned all the distributor information packet and sent it along to pure, who in turn made a nice detailed page with all the info that we know about battlezone.... well... all the info we know but are able to actually release :) let the battle begin!

[nervously, shark steps onto the zeo main stage, and taps the mic a few times.] [under his breath] okay.. here goes Hey there! a good old update by me! good old Fox the Sharkdog, the good old anime guy! woo! most of you probably dont even remember me from back in the days I had a kickass news section on this site (well.. not really kickass..) Anyway.. updating... well this sucks, no card today because eric or ang aren't anywhere to be found ¬_¬ well yeah.. I do work on the gym islands crew... but I don't have a card either.. well I have something else for you guys then!   Wooooo! so I present you with what I was famous for when I had a news section on this site long long long ago, and me being the anime guy here and all.. who hasn't been doing much. Anyway! Its one of my "Next Episode In Japan Previews"! Isn't that exciting everyone!? Pokémon Episode #278 (geez, nearly 300 episodes already!) "The End Of The Battle! Full Power!" The 'Shirogane' Tournaments deciding battle, which is also the final battle between Satoshi (our dear friend Ash, for the people that didn't know that =P) and Hazuki, which is nearing the final stages. ok.. background info here, I'm not entirely sure of this, but apparently Satoshi has been battling in a tournament for the last couple of episodes, don't ask me if this is the actual Johto League Final tournament, cause I don't know =P Hazuki, the guy in the picture, on the left, is one of the entrants, and Satoshi has been battling him for the last episode or two. Great fact is that Hazuki's most powerful and fearsome Pokémon is none other then Bashamo! again, for the people that don't know, Bashamo is a new Pokémon from Ruby/Sapphire. He's the final evolution of Achamo, the cute little fire bird starter. Now.. back to the preview (I think this is already longer then the preview o.o;) both are down to their final Pokémon, a one-on-one fiery strength match, Hazuki's Bashamo VS Satoshi's Charizard (yay Charizard!)! You wouldn't want to step into this extreme battle were these two powerhouses literally exhaust each other. But will there be a victor to this hot battle? And after the tournament is over? what will Satoshi do? Well sportsfans, doesn't that sound like an exciting episode? This episode will premiere next thursday on TV Tokyo. The Rocket's Return >:D >:D (thats some ascii for butch and cassidy) hmmmmm..... we also got an update on the pokemon center ny promos... and apparently they won't be as hard to get as one thought... kinda. there are reports that in the latest issue of nintendo power, it includes ho-oh and rapidash... with a slight change. there is no pokemon center ny stamp on them. hmm.... so now we have TWO sets of promos 51 and 52.. a stamped one, and a non stamped one. so the non stamped ones are only for np subscribers making them the equivilent of telekinesis mewtwo or dark persian.... but the stamped ones can't be gotten at all right now, and then when they will be, only through the center. so like if the stamped ones don't fall into the same fate as pokemon center and lucky stadium, i think you'll see the price of those rocket. ...otherwise the non stamped ones might be higher. i guess only time will tell

Hasbro Reports Third Quarter 2002 Results  (Business Wire) Hasbro, Inc. today reported results for its third quarter ending September 29, 2002. Worldwide net revenues were $820.5 million compared to $893.4 million a year ago. Net earnings for the quarter were $55.8 million, compared to earnings of $50.6 million a year ago and diluted earnings per share were $0.32, compared toz $0.29 per share in 2001. hmmmm.... so here we have a decrease in overall revenue by 70 million over last year... and yet we have a slight 5million increase in net revenue for the quarter. so it looked like that overall they are making more money, however they have to pay out more... oh great.... ang gave me a card for tonight, but i didn't save the location and now its lost FOREVER!!!! or at least until i get the link from ang.... hmmmm BUT! eric gave us a card too! so we have a card! grrrr.... eric gave me a couple new cards... but no description of them... sooooooo we're going to have to come up with something ourselves hmmm. [ahem] hello... i am eric and i have a card from the islands gang from you. tonight we have a card that wasn't drawn by ech, and none of the attacks were by ech, but he did upload it so without him uploading it there wouldn't be a card today. and even tho i never gave him any intro text, there is still a card.... so thats good. >>-(^.^)-<< ....thats a wooper by the way. it kinda loses something when you have the underlinedness of it.... but it SHOULD look all cute and happy like this: >>-(^.^)-<< awww... isn't he all cute and wooper-like? yaaaaaaaaaaay! as promised, we have some corocoro for you! pure worked really hard the past two nights to finish it up and make sure we had it, and so here it is! this month there are even MORE pictures from ruby/sapphire, including what looks like could be a bunch of new plot elements, and everything... plus there is more about the advance league lessee.... what else. ooooh yeah! theres another new pokemon mini game too... man, japan now has what? 8 mini games? i dunno.. they certainly have a lot more than us... But, most likely May..." thats from snojoe.... hmm.. it would be really really nice if rs were to come out here as soon as possible. may is still so long to wait tho. :( hopefully it'll be closer tothe 'march' end, but realistically it will probably be may/june.

so the cheetah said to the jaguar ok, so cheetah was going to go to plutonium, because jaguar was able to go to titanium and swan was going gold.... except that the cheetah isn't working with plutonium so they had to make the cheetah gold and give plutonium to the swan instead. but the jaguar is ok.... [nods] huh?! um.... ok, to put it in layman's terms, the forums are still down because the new server they were moving to was having problems with our server... so they had to start from scratch by installing it on a different one. to put it even simpler, the forums will hopefully be back up soon. im not sure when tho. well... we have a new islands card.... but no one would give me intro text for it... [looks significantly at eric, poinko, and anguris] so instead i'll have to come up with something. ... .. ... ....here's magmar well... ang said that there are a lot more islands cards..... hopefully ones with intro text too... cause i got a whooooooooole lotta dots that need... um.... dotting. o_O aaaaaaand, continuing our reports from the tournament in toronto last weekend we have a report from gloom. so now we get to see what someone else's perspective on the event was.... not that its much different... i dont think. [hangs his head] i mist admit, i haven't gotten a chance to read it.... but it starts off pretty good. tournament in toronto ok.... thats about all for right now, but we will have more tomorrow. if all goes according to plan (that plan being getting coro coro done) we will have the october coro coro section for you! from what i've seen so far, there is a lot on pokemon r/s, and some really cool things too. so then, check back tomorrow and we should have that for you along with other stuff that hasn't been invented yet!!!! or at least not told to me yet.

forum downtime ca-ray-zee-ness! wooooo! ... no wait... thats a bad thing. eh heh heh.... ok, as you probably know, the forums have been up and down more than m..... er... the stock... market? o_o' anyway, as i found out from qasic, our loveable forum host, his host is relocating from florida to texas... or from texas to florida... [scratches his head] well, theres a florida and a texas in there.... somewhere. so then, i guess as they're moving there will be some downtime. unfortunatly there's not much we can do, but HOPEFULLY it'll be over within the next day or so... just kinda bear with us ^_^' hmmm... what else can we come up with.... ooooh yeah, the pokemon center has a new halloween section with all those nift halloween costumes that you see in walmart and the like except at the official pokemon store! hmmm... the ones that look the best i think are the hooded ones... i mean not the round ones like marril and poliwhirl. it just kinda looks like you took a marril and just kinda wrapped it around your waste... o_O the full body ones look not too bad tho. they have zapdos, and lugia looks really great too. and also, they have released more info about the new promo cards.... swelcome to another wily and wacky weekly wizards chat session... another short chat this week, but it was packed with as much info as one could shake a pointyish stick at. not a pointy stick mind you... just pointyish. you dont want to poke someone's eye out. unfortuantly nothing new really to report on challenge series or battlezone, but they're working on it. james lee (who is helping mtm with organized play) has a final proposal for battlezone at his desk and he's reading it as we speak. er... well maybe not RIGHT as we speak, but kinda as we speak. battlezone should be up and running by the end of november, with more solid information coming really soon... and special ways for pokemon professors to help promote it... if you dont have your professorship yet, you should get it! now! why are you still reading?! you should have gotten it! yes... i'm talking to you.....you know who you are.... hmmm... and also an interesting idea... involving very useful cards... capé diem hey, and guess what! pure has a really great report on the tournament help in toronto... including PICTURES!!!!! oooooooooooh. now while celebi was a slacker, the rest of the crew up in toronto worked hard and brought us a great event, and we can only look forward to more. pokemon north of 49 anyone know the reference? hey, and speaking of tournaments, we have also opened up a new forum on the zeo forums! oft used as an aim chatroom for people to play cards, battlefield zeo is the newest addition to the zeo forums of fun. check out the battlefield and post information for your upcoming tourneys, or scope it out to find places to play near you! hopefully we can get a good exchange of people wanting to play and people wanting to host so that we can come up with come greater events all around!

	thursday october 17th (last update at: 1:15am)
so yesterday we showed off the two new promos from the pokemon center.... and we also appended that they were very hard to get. well, pure was in the city and at the center yesterday, and we found out WHY they are hard to get... according to the salesperson, the cards themselves aren't to be distributed until next week, so those couple auctions on ebay were someone who got them early. they are scheduled to be released starting next week, so if you are in the area, you should maybe try back early next week and see if you can get them. in other center news, just as pure mentioned last week, this week they are giving away celebis (and presumably suicunes... although maybe the suicunes are next week or something) in the pokemon get machine, and pure picked up a nice SHINING celebi. mmmm..... now thats something. an official ny pokemon center shining celebi. (for those of you that didn't know, the original trainer id's of pokemon center pokemon are PCNYa - PCNYd for the four get machines) hmmmm.... only other thing of mass interest that i can think of tonight would be tentative release date for pokemon r/s in the states. we're about 5 and a half week from the release in japan but from what everyone is saying.... the release in the us will be more towards summer 2003. another thing is, that there does seem to be more significant differences in ruby and sapphire than just the legendary at the end of the tunnel. in ruby your rival is the evil organization known as team magma, while in sapphire, you battle against team aqua. no idea if team rocket is in the game.... and if not, i wonder where this leaves them in the anime.... we already know that misty didn't make the cut :/ anyway, in r/s there also WILL be support for 4 player multiplayer using the 2 on 2 approach. hmmm... that should make for some interesting battles... as well as a solution as what to do at pokemon events when you're not playing cards ;)

well, after a very long trip, pure made it home ok, but she was really exhausted after the trip. she did talk to me long enough to find out that she had a really good time, she was really tired, and she would work on tournament reports tomorrow. poor tired thing. so, while we let pure sleep, lets take a look at the new pokemon center promos, shall we? welcome to part two of today's update... as usual, i'll be your host, lawy- i mean ech. so anyway, this past weekend the pokemon center pulled a fast one on us and released TWO new promos to corrispond with the opening of pokemon4ever. hmm... seems like the center is great for doing that, huh? just kinda SURPRISING THE PUBLIC WITH PROMOS THEY'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE SO EVERYONE SCRAMBLES TO PICK THEM UP AS FAST AS THEY CAN. [points triumphantly] so here we have the two new promos..... rapidash making an appearance at number 51, and ho-oh making his first appearance for over a year in the english tcg coming in strong at number 52... rapi-DASHING to a promo collection near you uh... ho-ohi..... um yeah, im not even going to finish this strange analogy...   so interestingly enough, it appears as tho for the time being, these cards are next to impossible to get... hmmm... lets make a little diagram to show that, shall we... now... as we can see in our concise, high tech diagram here.... you have impossible on the left, being appropriatly portrayed by an oval, and then you have the promos on the right, being 'next to' impossible... i call this the 'next2impossible' factor. [everyone stares at ech] what?!?! [points accusingly] anyway, from what i've heard, the center is out of promos already, so they really are that scares... for now. remember pokemon center and lucky stadium... they were impossible to get, but they were always bringing in new shipments... so maybe just sit back.. and wait for a couple days... OR YOU CAN PANIC AND GO GET THE PROMOS NOW!!! AAAAH!!!!

yaaaaay... pure comes home today... can't wait to talk to her and hear all about how everything went this weekend. i think in total i've only been able to talk to her like half an hour in 5 days... ah well, i'm sure she needed a break from me anyway :) [poinko] Hey there, Zeo-Fans! It's me, poinko, updating zeo again for you!<p> Unfortunately, I don't think I have very much to update with right now... uhm... <looks over at Ech, who urges him on>.. so... ah... Yes. Well. Gym Islands. Hooray! We have a Gym Islands card for you, that firey reptilian bipedal.. ah.. fire reptile, Charmeleon! Not just any Charmeleon, but Luana's Charmeleon, with art and attacks by our very own Eric! He's a sly one, he is. That Eric. Hoo boy. Yessiree, that sly Eric does it again... In.. uh... other news, Aquapolis is due out soon, hopefully by the holiday season, and Battle Zone will start soon too, which is good, since the previous league year has just ended. I have my reverse holo Recycle Energy, do you? We don't know what the next promo card is to be released, but I can tell you it's not a Zubat card... And a special little FYI for people who didn't already catch it, the beginning of Pokemon 4Ever where Brock is talking about Pokemon can be found on the soundtrack for Pokemon the First Movie(who the heck names these things, anyway?), as a special little added feature. It's still no Pikachu's Hide and Seek Adventure, tho. And still no news on when Adventures in the Orange Islands will come to DVD, if ever. You can find it listed on Amazon.com, but still no release date, running time, or any other specific information on it. Boy, this is a pretty depressing update... Well, before I go, just to add some meat to this update, how about a special card for you people who like countering and anti-effecting your opponent's cards? Yes, well, I made this card especially for you. No, not you, the guy standing next to you. It's All-Purpose! Sorry for the anti-content this update, folks. [elroy] i beat the demo by throwing cookies and photographs at sam the surly lunky guy for twenty minutes! [mars] wow.... i couldn't get past snively... [ang] i played the demo for hours! 	monday october 14th (last update at: 1:34am)
well, pure isn't able to get too much time online right now, but she was able to pass along a quick message from the tournament... hello! i'm on gloom's computer. this is pure. i forgot to log out of gloom's account again. his keyboard sucks. no offense gloom. it's just too big. anyways, the tournament was really fun. 36 people showed up, and it ran really smoothly. and...let's see. i got a stuffed burger. it is a hamburger with toppings baked in pizza dough. and a coke with lime syrup in it. and i got to play dooley, with my new modified deck, and....that's about what is going on. i'm here tomorrow and i am coming home on tuesday, so look for a more complete writeup of the tournament and all that on wednesday. happy birthday zeo! wish i'd done the site redesign :sweat: this makes 2 birthdays running i haven't done it. typical huh? see you guys on wednesday pure the whole redesign thing is my fault... i mean, i gave pure a hard time last year because we didn't get it done, and i really didn't mean to. i know that a lot is going on and something like the redesign there is going to take a LOT of work.... im sorry pure. :( anyway, when we can do it, i can assure you it will be really cool tho :D it was a day of trivia here at Zeo. Other prizes also included the AirHockey-e card, Promo Psyduck (#20), Promo Machamp (43), and what ever else i can find before i put the envelopes into the mail. Reminder to the winners, i need you to email me your addresses so i can send out your stuff (please include you screen name on the boards), you have till tomorrow, noon time to do this. it was a blast, maybe i will run one again some time... -marril awww.. and eric and poinko also made us some nice cards.... <sniff> poinko made pure and i each a cool shining card... although he forgot to put the face on mine! <gasp> awwww.... its soooo cute i see you! mwahaha! and eric made this really 'elite' one for us ^_^   pffft.. who needs 4 when you have an elite 2 anyway, i know that pure has a drawing of some sort planned... but it'll have to be wednesday or thursday that we tell you more about that. sorry... you'll just have to extend zeo's birthday bash until then ;)
