well... last day of november. seems like time just flies by... [watchs mars and elroy play tennis with a pocket watch,] ...oh that is sooooo not funny guys. [mars] we can go break some records if you'd like ekh sir... ...you do that.... ¬_¬ anyway, lets see what we have in the ole magical update hat tonight....     pure was very busy indeed yesterday, both doing some shopping and braving black friday in manhattan as well as doing a bit of art... lets take a look at her adventures at the pokemon center before taking a look at the new art.... well, i went into the city to meet up with sensei and his family at the pokemon center. it was the busiest i'd seen the place in ages.....looks like a good start to the holiday season. i went up to the catch em all station to hopefully get a mew, but, got more celebis. i think i have ten of the little critters by now....i have five or so game carts that i put in for other people. i put in my silver game, got a celebi. i take it out, and go to put in a crystal cart, and the kid behind me leaps in front of me and jams his gold cart in. and his mom was standing right there and didn't say anything.....such manners. anyways, i'd have been rather upset if he got a mew, but he didn't. so nyah! then sensei showed up, and went to try and charm the managers out of some promos before the official time of distribution. hope springs eternal! he headed off, primed with his tale of having driven from virginia, not wanting to wait til five, etc. very well thought out. unfortunately for sensei, they didnt even have the promos available. they're kept in the basement til five. (this is true, actually....i once walked into the store at 4:50. went past the downstairs counter. nothing there. went upstairs, looked around for 15 minutes, got some boosters and a couple buttons and went back down. cardboard box behind counter labeled '5pm - 7 pm promotion'. so...poor sensei had to wait til 5. so, we went and got a bite to eat, then he and his headed over to the times square tru. it's bad enough in there on a regular shopping day, but i wasn't brave enough to venture there on black friday, so we agreed to meet up again at five at the center, and harvest a couple promo packs. which we did, i have no idea how many he got, it think it was six or so buy the time i left to catch a train home. anyways....there's still two days left in the november promotion, but today was the last day they were distributing promos. i'll make sure to keep you posted on future distribution plans, as soon as i learn of them. you know, the pokemon center really is an amazing place... i mean the first time i was there, i was pretty shocked. pictures really don't do it justice. if you are ever in the area, definatly plan to go there... and the giant toys r us... (which i still haven't been to...) and the wb store... hmm.. if its still there, i forget... oooh.. and.... yankee stadium! ;) and then theres..... [trails off] anyway, enough about my want to go back to ny lets take a look at pure's new rs art! today we have that adorable little firey kitten, eneko. pure used a new style on this one, water colors. i really do think this style looks cool... i've seen a couple things from this style now. look for more art like this soon! must clean paws... have to clean... can't have dirt.. if you want to use this, please feel free but list pure as the artist, and if you're going to use it on your site, email us first hmmm... what else can we come up with? ah yes... mini has been busy lately, but he's back and he's updating the atelier! we have a new deck fix by him in there today, as well as more decks to come in the following weeks! no matter what shape your deck is in, send it into the atelier, no deck is refused... gloom ESPECIALLY loves dark gengar decks. make sure to send him LOTS of those.... now on with the decks!   and lastly, we've got a bunch of translations from usagi-chan. he's been doing translations of japanese sets pretty much since there's been japanese sets to translate, and he has done a very thorough job if i do say so myself. ^_^ anyway, we're pleased to say that he is allowing us to use these, and in the next couple days, we will be overhauling out tcg section to include all of usagi-chan's set translations, so make sure to keep a close eye on that! thanks usagi! we really look forward to working with you! why not save yourself some hassle and money, as well as helping out the site, by doing some holiday shopping through our associate, amazon.com? watch this space for updates and featured offers! Haaaaaaappy Post-Thanksgiving to all of our neighbors to the south!  Yes, that's right, I said neighbours, because it's Gloom!  As prodigal of an updater as I am, I'm here from the mysterious great white for your personal amusement as you hopefully digest large quantities of food.  ;D  Glad to be updating. pure here! yesterday's update had a lot in it. such is not the case with today's. sorry, just had a lot going on today that was non site and internet related..... it seems like everyone is playing ruby or sapphire......we're getting a lot of info and screenshots sent to us. @_@ now we have to organize them. i hope to have a handle on that this weekend, sorting out the info and figuring a good way to arrange it, rather than losing it in the archives. anyways, we do have an atelier update for you. gloom has featured a modified tyranitar deck, if you're a fan of the big t, (and who isn't? who doesn't love tyranitar?) go take a look! got to love tyranitar! speaking of tyranitar, i finally took some time to play my godzilla:destroy all monsters melee game that megs sent me (wasn't that nice of him?) i've only been dying to play it for a week now. it is FUN, i'll tell you what. godzilla has his authentic roar, and basically you just pound the crap out of your opponent while destroying famous cities. i'm wondering if i can operate the controls with the dance pad, if i get one of those ps to gc converters.... what else....oh! the battle zone page on wizards has been updated, with a lot of info filled in. go take a look, and professors who are 18+, send in those delegate applications! zoning in...... lastly but not leastly, we've got a cool new card idea from poinko. he's been working on this idea for a while, and 1)it will add an interesting twist to gameplay and b) wow does the card ever look good. possession is 9/10ths of the law..... well that wraps it up on our end. hope you all have a good weekend, if you get any r/s info you'd like to add to the pile we still need to organize, we'd love to have it! send it to zeo@sugarshock.net .

you all aremembered that yesterday ruby and sapphire were FINALLY released, didn't you? nah... of course you didn't, seeing as how thats really all anyone talked about yesterday. ...well, thats all i talked about yesterday.... but, before we got on with some r/s info lets take a look at yesterday's wotc chat. so we had the weekly wotc chat last night, and the topic at hand seemed to be the professor delgate program, and its effects on everything. for those of you who are unaware, the delegate program is for pokemon professors ages 18 and older to go around promoting battlezone to stores, trying to get the attendanceship up, and the word out. basically to be a delegate for the name of pokemon.... hence the title. ;) there was a bit more info besides just the delegate program, mainly about turkey and their plans to eat the foresaid turkey... but there's other good info too, so just go and take a look!   ah... ruby and sapphire... the thing thats been on everyone's minds for while. well, it was FINALLY released yesterday and we have a group of about 10 people who are helping us get screenshots, information, and everything you could ever need to know about rs. one of the first things that you do notice tho, is the color. it really stands out. the opening sequence is great where there is water bripping off leaves, and then latias/latios and the male protagonist... everything actually MOVES in this game too. the flowers and grass sways in the wind, the waters ripple.... it really is visually appealing. another big difference is that nothing is generic anymore. all the character actually look different, and all the pokemon are also graphically represented... look! you can TELL they're machokes! the pokemon in your party also have their correct sprite too... real nice improvement. anyway, we'll be working on getting you lots of screenshots as well as hand drawn pictures... hey.. like these three here! we have the evolved forms of the starters that pure kindly drew for us tonight! feel free to use them on cards (crediting pure of course) but please make sure to ask before posting them on your website or anything.... treecko... EVOLVED! torchick.... EVOLVED! mudkip... yup... EVOLVED! i must say that the treecko and mudkip line are cute... the torchick line.... well.... in the actual game it doesn't look that cute. (personally i think it looks like it was hit one too many times in the head) but pure sure managed to make it look cute. :D oh! and as an added tip! i've figured out how to get MEW in rs! when you start the game and go into your house, rather than going upstairs to set the clock, go backoutside and try and push the truck. it will say that you could move it if you had STRENGTH. go back inside and talk to one of the machokes. he will then follow you outside. once outside go over to the moving van and machoke will push it. underneith you will find a pokeball with mew in it! ;) double points to everyone who knows that reference. :D (btw, you cna't really get mew like that in rs... you have to get the strength tm fi.. i mean... yeah ^_^')

well it's pure again. not much to say but it hasn't stopped me yet..... now then, i went to the pokemon center today. and i forgot to stop by the downstairs counter and get my promos. -_-. if you're in the area, the anniversary month celebration will be ending soon, and we'll have to wait and see the new promo distribution method--so you might want to swing by and pick yours up, if you haven't already. this week, in the machine you can get shining suicune, entei or raikou.....if you are lucky you might get shining lugia or ho oh. next week is celebi again....with a chance at mew! sounds a little bit like a weather report. while i did forget to get my promos, i did get a really nice bag at the transit museum. they sell stuff with subway logos and all, and they finally got the small bag with the 1 line on it. its a big red circle with a 1, which i wanted cause red is sugarshock color and my aim sn is purity number 1. if i could find my digital camera usb cable i'd take a picture of it. and now i'm going to hand the update over to ech, cause i am suddenly really tired.... [ech] poor tired thing... anyway, we don't really have too much for you tonight. pokemon rs is released today in japan, so hopefully we can get some more pics or something from there, and also today we'll have an announcement about the SIXTH pokemon movie! right now all we have is a star field pokeball symbol and a shadowy pokemon with very threatening scythes for hands. ..no, not scyther. or kabutops. no, its not sneasel either.... its something else.... anyway, there's supposed to be a press conference or something later today with some more information on the movie... like at least the title, and maybe shedding some light (literally) on the new pokemon. we'll have to wait and see what happens... there'll probably be a big pokemon thing later on, where they release r/s and the new movie details and everything. just.. gotta... wait.   and lastly, we have another deck update by gloom over in the atelier. today's deck du jour is a jumpluff exeggutor deck. lots of wacky fun ensues as the gloomiester looks at this deck! exeggupluff!

welcome to wednesday's update.... please keep your arms in the main page at all times, and please remain seated until the update has come to a complete stop. first up, on our left we have master trainer mike again, answering some questions... [sets up his cardboard mtm cutout] [audience] thats just cardboard [ech] HUSH! you show master trainer mike some- ooops ['mtm' slides to the floor] anyway, mtm has a new akimbo article talking about freqently asked questions. everything from the future of modified to the mysterious challenge series, its all there, and make sure to check it out before you go emailing or posting and asking questions... ask and ye shall recieve...     secondly we have a couple new decks in the atelier.... its been a while but pkmnx has posted two new decks. first up he takes a look at a fire deck and makes some tweaks to it to make it more tourney worthy... then he analyzes an ampharos deck that needs some work. fire vs. electric: now in the atelier!     last little bit is just something from ign that jolt showed us, after he admitted he wanted to drink from an armadillo cup that is... we all know that pokemon rs is set to be released here on march 17th 2003, (and if you didn't, you do now....) but ign has now posted possible box art for the english versions... make sure to check 'em out! ruby red! sapphire-licious!

pure again, and hurrah! i finished the coro coro section! it's not a huge section this month, not a lot of earthshaking pokemon news, but there are some cool new toys, and more screens and things from ruby/sapphire. why not wander over and take a look? coro coro november among the free includes this month were rockman stickers (third rockman exe game coming out in a few weeks) a jumbo foil duel masters card, and a small comic book detailing the storyline behind the beginning of the new games. hmm....what else have i been working on. ah! yes. a new blank. it looks nice. as soon as i can come up with a card to display it with, i'll put em up for you all to use. that's about your lot for today! but hey, you got coro coro so nothing too shabby about that. enjoy!

pure again.....um....i don't have that hot of an update, sorry.... it was one of those days that SHOULD have been a good update. i had a lot....i went to that movie screening at the pokemon center, and i got my coro coro, and i had some other thing i forgot about. just with one thing and another i didnt get the information processed and ready to go. got some nice stuff out of corocoro on ruby sapphire and we'll do our best to get that up for you asap. anyways, it wasn't much of an excuse for an update....but, i can't just leave you with that. um....here, hold on [runs off] ok! here we go! purity: can someone do me a favor? purity: perform a quick comedy routine Poinko: how about a physical comedy routine? iiiiiits still me (pure)..... a little tired after the day, but we'll see what we can dig up, shall we? well! i ran into the city today to see the new harry potter movie. no one would let me order tickets online, so i had to go do it in person. by the time i got in, around half past four, all the shows were sold out with the exception of the 5:30 show and the one at midnight. hmm.....so i called vash to see if he could make a 5:30 movie. he said yes he could, so i got tickets to that. there wasn't enough time to run over to the pokemon center :( and i was looking forward to getting some more promos.... ah well. i walked across the street from the loew's on 42nd and got another nintendo power at universal newsstand. hey, it's still promos! then i wandered around times square waiting for vash to duck out of work and see the movie. they've got a nice new lot of stuff at the hello kitty store....she's got her own microwave, you know. aaaand you know, it was pretty good! it's long, like the first one, and i recommend against getting a large soda. some stuff was changed from the book in the interest of plot expedition (in both senses of the word) but it moved along nicely, great quiddich sequence, a couple of rather queasy moments.....technique was really good. go see it! don't drink the large soda!! and remember to ask for the promo cards when you buy your popcorn. [segue]and while we're on the subject of movies[/segue].......i'm finally going to see pokemon 4 ever tomorrow. i handed in 3 of my pokemon center receipts to get tickets for the screenings they're having in honor of the pokemon center's one year anniversary. so, expect a little writeup of the movie and/or/along with the center's birthday festivities in tomorrow's update! marril is back again today, with another fake card tip from fc911..... Official Fake Card Tip of The Week, as the moderators of Fake Card 911 give tips to improve your fake card skills!   [marril reaches into the dephts of fake card 911...]     When placing Pokemon-e Poke-BODY and Poke-POWER ability titles in place, it is a good idea to know what colors to correctly use. When you first enter in the Poke-BODY title and see the Poke-BODY symbol, your first thought maybe that the text is green… which is not. hi there! poor ech is been stuck running the site for too long, so for the next few days i (pure) will take over. so, let's see what we have......[wanders in and out of chat rooms, asking if people have update material] while they're all sitting and staring blankly, i'll give you a little pokemon center update. i was in there again today, waiting patiently til after 5 pm to buy some expedition boosters to get my promo pack. i also managed to score a free slowpoke plush...anyways, you'll remember that this coming saturday is the one year anniversary of the store. so, amongst other things the center will be having showings of pokemon 4 ever over in the rockefeller center. how do you get tickets to see the movie? you bring in 3 receipts from the store, from 3 different days in the month of november. you dont have to wait til saturday, in fact you are encouraged to bring them early as seating is limited. presenting the receipts will get you 2 tickets to one of the showings, and all kids who attend (i'll say that's 14 and under) will get a goody bag. celebi will be present as well, im not sure if they're doing pictures or not tho. now to dig around and find 3 receipts....... hmmm......well snojoe came up to scratch and provided me with the following.... "A rumor has been going around the net today, saying that R/S has an official release date of 3-17-03. Well, I called NoA about this, and they said that unless it appears on the POkemon site or NoA's site, it's false. So if you see this somewhere, don't believe it.' 3/17/03 being the rumored english release date, i assume. so, there's a statement straight from joe from straight from nintendo. ooh! and gloom tells me he's updated the atelier! so, swing by there and take a look at the latest deck fixes! and, that about wraps it up for me. tune in tomorrow, where hopefully i will find more interesting things to talk about. we will have the usual thursday night wotc chat, so you can certainly look forward to that, at least. hope your day goes well!

hmmm.... november the 13th. that means that tomorrow is november the 14th and november the 14th marks the start of the new pokemon ag in japan (pokemon advance generation) so the premise is simple enough.... ash travels to houen to battle in the houen league and catch houen pokemon over in houen. mistys sisters won a trip on a cruise for three, hence why misty is no longer part of the group. so ash sends all his pokemon (with the exception of the little yellow rat) back with oak and tracy then sets off on his houen journey. this week is the official first episode of pokemon ag and we'll see what happens. ash should be getting a kimori (the cute lil lizard thing) and we'll have to see how he teams up with brock again (last episode he went back to pewter) and how the new girl fits into it all... but from the couple pics we've seen in corocoro, it kinda looks like another bike fiasco.... now then... in addition to pokemon ag it looks like there will also be classic episodes of pokemon, kind of along the lines that they have been doing in japan the past year, except this time it looks like it will go more along the lines of 'favorite episodes' rather than just re-runs.it also appears as though there is a 'request corner' where you can either ask questions about certain episodes or request episodes... the translaion is very sketchy at best. well, anyway, this 'version' of pokemon runs tuesday nights. so then, this all happens tomorrow, and then on friday, there is a new official japanese pokemon site opening, which should hopfully have a lot of new rs info... considering that it comes out in just a week and a bit. we'll have to see what comes of that. well, dark mike certainly has been busy over on the wizards website. in the past few days he's done a number of card stratagy articles on some of the new expedition cards (yes yes, i know they've been out for two months, but they will still be 'the new cards' until aquapolis comes out...) the other day dmtm looked at the two typhlosions and then yesterday he looked at the split personalaties of the two green giants, meganium. hmmm... poor feraligatr seems to be left out tho, because his next article promises to look at the new trainers instead of the ragin cajin. make sure to check these two articles out! we'd also really like to thank megax for giving zeo a really nice birthday present, it just took a little while to get set up. i mentioned to him that i was planning on registering a new domain when the forums got set up, but i never got around to it... and low and behold, megs went at did it for us. so then just like we have the easy to remember www.pokemonzeo.com for the main site, we now have www.zeoforums.com for the forums too! thanks megs!

well, i dont know what happened to angy recently but he's not around... but we have eric, and he has a card! been about a week since the last islands card, but here's and islands card! It's starting to get really cold out there, and wearing shorts and a tank top just isn't very fashionable anymore. pokemon ruby and sapphire come out in just ten days, and more and more pokemon pictures are coming out of the woodworks.... very.... odd... looking pokemon too. of course, the ones we've seen are just artists renditions from the tiny little battle pics, and very few sugimori ones... but they still look... odd. anyway, we'll make sure to bring you all the ruby and sapphire info we can (im still researching it) so stay tuned to see what we can come up with, and i'm anxious to see all the other new pokemon. i mean, acorns and venus flytrap type thigns can only go so far. and just to wrap up, a bit of harry potter information for you all. the chamber of secrets comes out on friday and along with it three new promos (for those of you that still play the game...) there is a spell cards called swelling potion, keeping dobby quiet, and the ever popular rainy day match for those with quidditch decks.... soslowpoke gave me the pics, but i brilliantly forgot to save them from the IM... >_< anyway, if you're a potter fan you really have to see the movie. i have seen really nothing but rave reviews about it, and i'm sure that it'll really do the book justice again... although i'm looking forward to prizoner of azkaban and goblet of fire the most :)

[skips off to lick magazine pages] um..... ooookay. today apparently we have [looks at the pictures] oooooh... we have pictures of the three newest promos in japan. making their debut in the official trainer magazine number 19, we have those kawaii dragons dratini, dragonair, and of course.... dragonite. as you can see, they are still sticking with the double and triple color energy requirements for the poor dragons, and from the looks of it, their effects aren't the best :/ dratini nets you 10 damage and some effect for a water AND an electric.... i really hope that the effect is 'the defending pokemon is now knocked out' to redeem the poor lil thing. dragonair is more of the same with water, electric AND an energy of YOUR choice doing 30 damage and an effect. dragonite MIGHT be ok.... i guess depending on what its power is, and how many coins you get to flip for 40x damage.... please be 'flip a coin until you get anough damage to knock out the defending pokemon... then the dragons could be used.... sadly as it stands they
