But my computer crashed :(... and I didn't back up the data, the template, it was lost... my computer was there... then I did something I shouldn't... so I reformatted to realize... 	tuesday, december 24th christmas eve! (Last update at: 3:00am)
hello! pure here, taking over for a little bit. we have a full update for you, something to pass the time for those of you who just can't wait for tomorrow. ;) me, i'll be busy. i need to clean my kitchen and bake about a million cookies, and then run some last minute errands. but, if you need something to occupy yourself for a good half hour or so, read on!! oh...and don't forget we have some e-postcards you can send to people for the holidays. i didn't get nearly as many pictures done as i wanted to, but poinko and eric filled in too. to send a card or pick one up, head right on over to... the zeo e postcard page well, let's lead off with the most labor intensive piece of update material, the coro coro section! i'm sorry it took me so long to get it done this month, i was out of town the weekend it came in, so it was delayed that way, and it took me a couple days to process all the scans and so forth. anyways, there's some fun stuff this month....including some nice big pics of the new advance cards! also, sugimori pics of the gym leaders from ruby/sapphire. you can go check it all out right.... here   quite possibly the portion of the most interest, we have 33 official illustrations of ruby sapphire pokemon! ohhh....so that's what they look like..... hmm...while on the subject of art, i'll throw you another one of poinko's pokedex illustrations.....he's done a bunch, they're all just sitting and waiting. how about..... celery!   i'm a huge fan of poinko's work.....so i'm happy to say that he's moved along with a fake edition that he's been discussing for some time. it started as a joke, but it is now a reality....zeo is proud to present, exclusively..... P+K=M-N and to launch the set, we have that adorable, classic, water starter-- squirtle! oh sure, he's cute now. but wait til you see what happens when he evolves....it's been a while since people could look forward to a frequently updated fake edition on zeo, and i'm sure this one won't disappoint. the set list looks fantastic. :D. moving from fake editions to real editions, (what a segue) we have a look at one of the cards from the next wotc set, aquapolis. we can hopefully look forward to one a day, courtesy of dark master trainer mike. anyways, we have an eeveelution for you, showing here! espeon for those of you with poor eyesight or dim screens, the power and attack are as follows..... poke-power: energy return. as often as you like during your turn (before you attack) choose an energy card attached to 1 of your pokemon and return it to your hand. this power can't be used if espeon is affected by a special condition. Hey gang, it's me, poinko, wrestling away the update controls for tonight! Ech: You didn't wrestle them away... Yes I did. It was an epic struggle of Poinko vs. Echidna, a clash of titanic proportions that shook the very core of the earth itself! Created mountains, it did! Whole valleys with the might of our deathgrip-like struggle over supreme control! Ech: No, all you did was win the Zeo Lottery. And this is all I get? Fine prize, I say! Ech: Then why do you keep buying tickets? What? I didn't mean it sarcastically... Ok, while the rest of us have been sleeping, or eating Rice Krispies or something(how come they don't make Rice Krispy Kremes? People would so buy that!), PK has been horriby busy over in the Atelier tweaking decks, fixing cards and hammering various pieces of wood together. And here's the results of his long, hard work! The Zeo Atelier: Now PK-A-Riffic!   Our Zeo PokéDex grows stronger by the day, what with all the stregthening pills we've been cramming down its throat. Not to mention some sprites and artwork. Yeah. Here's some more art, art that I did by myself without any help from anyone at all. Well, maybe a small bit of help with the people from Adobe. And the people who put together my computer. And the place that built my scanner. And the hard working people at Georgia-Pacific who made the paper i drew it on. And the fine makers of Focus #2 pencils. Who knows where I'd be without them? I certainly don't. Oh, and my feet. I wouldn't have been able to walk into the store to get these fabulous items without them. Well, I probably could have, but I don't think that would really be walking... Where was I? Oh yeah, PokeDex art. Like I said, it's one I did by myself with no help from anyone. Except the people mentioned above. Here to fill out our PokeDex a bit is Haunter! It's Haunt-A-Riffic (yeah, sue me already)!   and the last little bit of info that we have for you today is about.... suuuuuper baaaaatlezooooooone! [insert echoing effect] dmtm revealed a tiny bit about super battlezone to add to what we know. we know that it'll start in february, and yesterday mike revealed... Starting in February Wizards will be sponsoring about 50 tournaments. Kits will be sent to specified locations. There will be trophy prizes. Good morning, everyone, some of you might know me as Nova The Enforcer. Those of you who have tuned in late might not. Let me explain for a minute, if I might. Four months ago, I was captured by an exceptionally evil man and thrown, without regard for my personal safety, into a deep, dark, dank pit of depair. There, I was forced to code Java programs until my fingers bled, work out integrals until my ears bled, and listen to a know-it-all business professor until my face set on fire. My screams were drowned out only by the ceaseless droning of the professor, insisting over and over that the key to a successful business is employee cooperation, and the key to employee cooperation is empowerment. Yeah, right. So anyway, I hung out in that pit of despair for four months, because there was no way out and besides, I didn't really have anything else to do, and now they've set me free for four months, on the condition that I EITHER a) get a job, or b), and I quote, 'Whatever.' I took 'Whatever' to mean that it was okay, once again, to log on to the internet casually, a commodity more precious than two-ply in that desperate pit of despair and desperation. Having logged on, I received the following message from the Echidna, almost instantaneously: Echidna: Nova! About time! We're up to our collective tukus in work, here! Do this! NovaTheEnforcer: Do what? I don't understand! What are all these flashing lights? Echidna: That's your computer screen! NovaTheEnforcer: It can't be! Where's the Java compiler that's supposed to be right there? Echidna: All right, listen. You're obviously out of your mind. But you still get to update. NovaTheEnforcer: What does that involve? Echidna: Write an update Echidna: and give it to me. …then he ran off to do something. Possibly save the world from pirates. But in any case, he didn't give me anything else to update with, so this is about it. well pure and poinko both got home safely, albiet very tired... although we didn't really get much of a chance to talk to either of them tonight, from what we heard, they both had a really good time and are looking forward to the tour. anyway, their first stop is actually at the palasaides mall in nyack new york (pure's stompin grounds! woo! actually, its a really cool mall... gotta love any mall with an apple store) and it takes place the second weekend in january. (jan 8th) make sure to go say hi to pure and poinko if you're in the area there! alright, as promised a couple days ago, we have pics from the new anime season in japan. eh heh heh... unfortunatly it took us this long to find someone who could actually watch the clip well enough to take a few screenshots. big thanks goes out to marril whom managed to get us some pics of the opening and the first episode. looks like ash gets a treecko, brock gets a mudkip, and the new girl gets torchick. oh yeah.. and ash still has the electric yellow rat... <sighs> he even went as far as to leave the rest of his pokemon with oak... not sure about brock, but i haven't seen any of his either. anyway, it looks like team rocket is still in it (they're in the opening, so its not like they're a one time shot) and they are shown with meowth, wobbuffet along with an affectionate cactolantern and the evil snake o death. ...looks like they might have gotten rid of weezing, arbok and lost delibird too... without further adieu, check out the anime advance page, where we'll try and get more pics added when we can. anime... ooooooh... do we have some interesting stuff for you today. we have decks, we have battle zone, we have weird looking new cards.... o_O lets get to it ....riiiiiight after we see how pure and poinko are doing. they got to playing and everything today, and pure hand an awsome opening hand and just killed poor poinko. by turn three he was at -4800 LP. for those of you that know ygo, she was playing just a kaiba deck out of the box, and in her opening hand she got flute of the summoning dragon, lord of the d, AND a blue eyes white dragon.... yeah, poor poinkster never had a chance. they're also being fed really really well too. FIVE meals a day! thats like more than i've had this week ;) pure says that the bacon at the marriot is really goodnice and thick, and crispy AND peppered... mmmmm sounds like they're having a great time and both doing good. so then, here's the rest of the update! ack! behind schedule. behind schedule. pure and poink made it to atlanta without a hitch and they sound like they're having a great time. didn't get much of a chance to talk to them, but from what i heard, everything is going really great! hopefully we can talk to them more tomorrow. so then, lets take a quick look at what we have. hmmm.... looks like mini updated the atelier with a new deck of the raindance variety. make sure to go check it out, and to send in your decks. oooooh... here's some cool and interesting news too.   Pokemon 5 (2003) Release Date: May, 2003 (limited release) Release Date Note: (12/11/02) Miramax released Pokemon 4Ever in just 200 theaters in the top 20 markets, and it's likely they will follow a similar limited release for this film as well. Japanese Release Date: July 13th, 2002 Title Note: (12/11/02) Also referred to as 'Pokemon 2002', the full Japanese title ('Mizu no Miyako no Mamoigami - Ratiasu to Ratiosu') translates to English as 'Guardian Spirits of the Water Capital - Latias and Latios.' It's also likely that the U.S. release will have a very different title, possibly something like '4Ever', but with the number '5' (or the year 2003). [ech sits staring at his phone waiting for it to ring. beside him are packed bags sitting by the door. two thousand miles away gloom is doing the same thing] well, pure and poinko are in ATLANTA this weekend for training for the yugioh mall tour next month. all four of us were supposed to have been going on it, but unfortuantly gloom and i have to work through some legalities before we can join them... hopefully it'll all work out great tho, and the four of us will be touring the country starting in january. anyway, pure has been packing things preparing to go all day... as well as learning how to play ygo... what do you know, it's pure again. let's see what everyone's contributed to the update today....... it's been a little while, but we have an analyst for you, from poinko. he's taken a look at some expedition cards, and we'll start off with one of my personal favorite evolution line... charmander/charmeleon/charizard! i love charizard....i always chose charmander in the early gb games. he starts out adorable, he eventually learns to fly, and he looks like a lizard. mm. anyways, go see what poink has to say on the subject! and we have some deck fixes to look at as well! gloom has 3 decks up, an ampharos deck, (like amphy), a dark tyranitar deck (looove tyranitar), and a green and black deck. check the decks and yet more art! when sprites from ruby/sapphire started appearing, i knew we'd not have a full collection of sprites and game information all that quickly. but, i figured we could take a shot at doing illustrations of the new pokemon. granted, its hard working from a sprite, and we'll probably find that we've gotten some details wrong, but poinko and eric and ryle were happy to help me with this project. quite fortunately, too, otherwise it might never get done. anyways, here is another nice pic from eric....it's the new hidden pokemon--   jiraachi and a card from orange islands! good old ang. they're working hard on this set.... it's one of rudy's pokemon, and one of poinko's favorites, (no not zubat) and it has a very bad case of static....iiiiit's...... rudy's electabuzz!   poink and i, and hopefully ech and gloom, are working for dsl the next couple of months. dsl ran the sts's way back when, now they're running the yu gi oh mall tour for upper deck. anyways, if you live near the tour stops, why not come say hi to us? you can check out the topic on the subject over in the forums.   come say hi   why not save yourself some hassle and money, as well as helping out the site, by doing some holiday shopping through our associate, amazon.com? watch this space for updates and featured offers! well, it's me, pure, giving ech a break for tonight. let's see what i can dig up for you......   we've got a small update to the r/s pokedex, thanks eric for sending us some new sprites! not a big one, but theres a bit more there to look at. it's slowly filling in..... we've gotten a lot of emails from people offering sprites taken from other sites, or links to sprites on other sites, and while we appreciate that you want to help, but we can only use sprites you've gotten yourself and would like to share with the site. along the same lines as the pokedex, we've got another pic from poinko of one of the new r/s pokemon......take a look! open wide....wider..... and if that wasn't enough....we've got one from eric too!! mirokarosu there's another version of this pokemon coming soon from ryle (as soon as i color it.) and, seeing as it's thursday, we have the weekly wotc chat transcript! this week, gloom took a shot at processing it. big news coming out of the chat this week....not a lot.....a bit about the delegate program, and the sad news that aquapolis has been bummed, er, bumped, back to january. there's been a couple new articles posted over at wizards the past couple days... first up we have part two of dark mike's analysis on the supporter cards in expedition, finishing up with elm's training method and oak's research... and then finishes up the article with a look at tm01 and strength charm. [sigh] poor poor strength charm... in just one month it went from the most abusive overpowered card to something that wouldn't even be found in a novice's deck... strength charm, we hardly used thee... aaaand... the second article is by mtm and its about the experience that is team play and the different variations of it. team play is starting to really take off, and one of the most interesting variations that i've played is team sealed play. basically you take 10 packs and you have to build two 40 card decks to use in the event... anyway, mtm takes us through the construction of two sets of decks and takes a look at the different decktypes that can surface from expedition. all decked out yeah.... we've used that link name before... ok, so in addition to the new articles posted at wizards, we also have some new art as well! pure and poinko and eric and ryle and mars have all been busy drawing new rs pokemon, and over the next few days we'll try and have a lot of new art for you to use. so here tonight we have some really cool art by pure herself. pure drew 6 or 7 new pokemon today, and i think they all look really good.... now its just coloring them, which is the hard part. well... the other hard part. drawing them is the hard part too. man, you can sure tell i dont draw or anything.. you know... pokemon ruby and sapphire have only been out for a little more than a week and already they've sold over 2 million copies? @_@ yeah... the pokemon franchise is reeeeeeeally dead. to date more than 75 million pokemon carts have been sold worldwide, and with the release of rs in japan, and over here in march, i think its safe to say that there will be well over 100 million pokemon carts out there by the end of the 2003. pfffft... and you said you can't find anyone to trade with ;) sooo... battlezone is starting up real soon. in fact, it might already be underway in some places. one of the things totally new in battlezone of course is the 'winners' cards. now there will be two promos per season. a classic promo and a new promo. the new promo will either be a reprinted card thats being let back into modified, or it'll be a brand new card. the new/reprinted cards will be exclusive to people winning tournements or placing highest in the league settings, and will come with a gold little winners stamp on them. everyone else will ahve to wait a couple months to get the new cards, as they will be printed as the 'classic' promos a couple months later. [so december's new promo will be available as a classic promo in march or april probably] the very first month sees us with a reprint of misdrevus as the classic and good old base set electabuzz as the new one! ^_^ and not only that.... but electabuzz is a REVERSE HOLOFOIL this time! ^_^ pokemon reverse (foil) if you haven't figured out a place to play battlezone yet, talk to your local stores and seeif they're going to run it... if not, ASK THEM! hey! and poinko has some good news for the 12 people that loved the orange islands season on the anime! ;) just kidding about the 12 people part...
