Section Updates Atelier no update posted by warlord Japanese Promos new section! woo! posted by zeo bonus midday update!!!---card e 3! well, i'd wondered this, when i was working on coro coro this month...it looked like they were talking about a new card e expansion. so they were! a brand new set, featuring lugia! the new set appears to be called 'wind from the sea', and the booster pack features lugia. the set is described as dealing with the ruins on the sea floor that stretch along the southernmost continent, and the forest and water nearby. supposedly some new features will be added in the set....whatever could 'e application' be?   sale date is listed as may seventh, which is next week. seems like they just barely came out with e 2...oh well! here are a few cards from the set...yay lugia! the card itself looks kind of strange. like there is a pattern on it, but perhaps that's just the gif. lugia has a power and 2 attacks, from what i can see peering at the teeny little picture....looks like another multi energy attack. i hope it does something good. there also is a water card (kingdra? suicune?) and what looks like a bellossom. anways, enjoy! we'll have more information on the set as soon as we can get it. now back to your regularly scheduled update. :D   hey look at that! we have a new section! woooo! go us!!! marril did a lot of the researching and then i refined it... but we have a list of all the japanese numbered promos, as well as pics of most of them! they aren't the greatest pics yet, but for two days work its a good start :D we'll be updating this just as the american promo page whenever new japanese promos come out we'll update it. land of the rising promos hmm... and also you can help us out too. as you can see a lot of the pics aren't the greatest quality or size. if you have better scans than the ones we have send them in and if we use them, we'll credit you! Here comes Project Z.E.O. with a new card!Tonight we have the dog Pokemon with the bad rep cause hes always frowning, Snubbull! Thanks to Dreadmon for the art, and to Eric for the attacks, enjoy! Section Updates Atelier FIVE DECKS! posted by poinko Main Archive apr. 14th - 21st posted by ech well, if you've been keeping track we had a few problems this weekend... nothing major, except for the fact that it seemed to corrupt pages whenever we tried to ul them... (hence the blank page on the site all weekend with no 'explaination' if we had tried to explain then we would have corrupted more... and more!!!) kudos to vash who actually sat on hold for 54% of his weekend dealing with tech support... heh... i think that technical support is glad it was him too... [whisltes innocently] so then... lets see what we have here.... i talked to pure sunday morning before she went off. her and anguris went to this really big japanese shop before heading off sunday morning and pure got rations for her journey.... but unfortunatly the bus was full and she was delayed 5 hours (at least!) hmm... sound familiar? anyway, i haven't been able to talk to her again... (as the voicestream operator so kindly tells me that she's out of service range...) but i'm sure that her trip is going smoothly and she should be home soon.. albiet tired. anguris got back late last night and was working on a report for us but had to get some sleep... (man... what IS it is everyone and this SLEEP thing...) and we have had yet to hear from other zeo notibles from this weekend... HINT HINT guys... ;) we do have a couple of quick notes from the event tho that pure told us about... attendence in the main events were a bit lower than in jersey, but the interest in the professor rochester draft was much greater, which i thinkcould be a good sign. anyway, san diego is the next event and then from there its worlds or bust! and lets see... peep toad has a purity sighting in one of the pictures posted over at wizpo... hmmm... can everyone spot our purity in this pic? :D and finally.... (i'm not sure if i'm alowed to do this... but too bad cause i am!) we have the desktop art of this weekend's stadium promo... PUPITAR! (betcha no one saw pupitar coming, huh?) hmmm... and if you look closely at it perhaps you can see how it kind of joins up with the larvitar desktop too... hmmmmm.... quick! to the pupitar cave!

Section Updates Atelier FIVE DECKS! posted by poinko the perils of mapquest... poor pure got to chicago friday afternoon and followed the directions mapquest gave her... eh heh heh... yeah... damn mapquest. anyway, she ended up at o'hare and then took the service shuttle to her hotel... kinda the long way of doing things, but hey, if it works. poor anguris had even worse luck tho as the three hour trip took him 6 hours thanks to weather and everything.... bleh. anyway, i talked to pure for about 20 minutes on the phone last night and she sounds like she's having a great time... and the event hasn't even started! her and anguris were tweaking decks and such, and there was a lot of ruckus going on the background (...this was at 11.. and pure said it had died down a LOT @_@) the pre-event staff meeting went really really well she said too. they clarified some of the most common mistake rulings and everything, and everyone seemed to be doing pretty good too. and whats even cooler is that they brought someone in to report so pure might actually get to PLAY this time! <gasp> wouldn't that be something, huh? :D so then tomorrow is the big event and if you're there, make sure to say hi to pure and get one of the new zeo promos... just like the larvitar, these are only available in chicago and only available tomorrow... so don't miss your chance! hmmm... and perhaps if i'm feeling particularly devious i will have a scan of it up for you all tomorrow.. along with a desktop pic... but until then you'll have to wait. >:D goooooo kecleon! aaaaw man... i didn't even know they were showing pokemon on ytv again... and not only that, but they showed the cool new kakureon episode... which means we can't call him kakureon anymore either... his OFFICIAL english name appears to be...... KECLEON! (keh-CLEE-on) now the question is, do i want to get up at like 3:30 am in order to SEE the kecleon episode again... dontcha just LOVE time zones? ZZZzzz..... magic can't save THIS product eh heh heh... whooops. seems as tho halmark kinda made a biiiig mistake. see.... they had a harry potter keychain that had a cute little magic potion bottle thing at the end.... complete with liquid. yeah... well see, the thing is they found out (AFTER it was released mind you) that the contents of the keychain could... well kill you. hmmm... i mean at least this makes more sense then the mew/superball eating frenzy a few years ago... i mean i could actually SEE people drinking this magic potion. well... i could more seem them drinking that than eating a superball... but then thats just me.  Here comes the big green Project: Z.E.O. dinosaur, Meganium! Section Updates Atelier 1 deck posted by mini pure is off to chicago tomorrow for the next stadium challenge... make sure to say hi to her if you see her! also in attendence will be anguris neo and pkmnx from the forums.. so make sure to say hi to them as well! anyway. to start off the day we have a couple of really cool new images that ratisu2 directed us to. the one is a poster and it has pokemon represented from all five movies in japan! we're trying to get a bit more infomation on this, but there are some dates given as well as prices... hmmm... where's your translator when you need them... and the second pic is actually just a scene from the mini movie included in the fifth movie, but it has that scary looking bug thing and the cute as a bug ghost thing... both of whom appear to be in the show. :D looks like those dastardly pichu brothers are back, huh? just can't seem to avoid them.... OH! and SPEAKING of the pichu brothers... guess who is getting thier own gamecube game apparently. scheduled to be announced at the E3 next month is pichu brothers: party panic. hmmm... sounds to me like it could be something along the lines of mario party... but then again we already know that mario party 4 is going to be released on the big blue cube... and nintendo wouldn't release two similar games in such close proximity... would they? anyway, whatever it is, its almost assuradly NOT stadium advance (take THAT mechachu! hah!) but its also not a pokemon rpg either most likely... oh well, i gues its not TOO long to the E3..... [sets his clock and plops down in the chair to wait] Watch out, here comes Primeape and he's pretty mad! This Primeape will lay the beat down on your opponent's Pokémon and will barrel through your bench like a bullet train! It only has one tiny weakness, an Achilles' Heel if you will... Section Updates -none- did you remember to do your taxes?! [remembers that a majority of the site viewers probably dont have to worry about taxes yet] ... ...uh.... did you remind your parents to do taxes?! eh heh heh... anyway, in this week's lycos top 50, pokemon was absent yet again (second week in a row too.. :( ) and the irs and taxes claimed the number one and two spots. i guess people want to find out about taxes and then what the irs will do to them if they DONT do their taxes... or something. um yeah... so this week's top ten was finished off by dragonball z, the big game, kazaa and morpheus, with the pga masters inbetween.... britney spears, tattoos, and rounding off the top ten was star wars episode two... when clones attack. er... or attack of the clones... or something to do with clones and attacking and all that... pokemon was at 57 and harry potter was still strong in the top 50 at number 30 Aww, what a cute Growlithe... and it can turn nasty if you become frivolous with your trainers... It's quite easily powered up, but it'll have to wait to attack, but once it does, you're opponent is in trouble if they like playing their trainers....   man's best friend... DMTM has said that there will be a blastiose, a charizard, and a venasaur in the set, just not which ones they will be. there is also a good chance that there will be a new type of trainer introduced in the near future called a suport trainer. the rule will be that you can play one support trainer per turn. that's about all I can come up with on such short notice... now back to your regularly scheduled update. ooooh... checking out pokemon.com there is something that they haven't done before. they actually have information on the fifth movie in japan. thats right, they actually have a press release on the english pokemon site about the next movie. First Details of Fifth Pokémon Movie Revealed At a gala news conference in Japan bustling with celebrities and guest appearances by performers dressed as Pikachu, the Pokémon Co. of Japan revealed details of the fifth Pokémon movie. Tsunekazu Ishihira, the president of Pokémon Co. and producer of both Pokémon games and movies, said the all-new Pokémon game for Game Boy Advance is on track to be released in Japan in late fall. Millions of Japanese Poké-fans are eagerly setting aside plenty of playing time for the still-unnamed game. No U.S. launch plans for the game were announced at this time. The movie, whose Japanese title literally translates as "Guardian Spirits of the Water Capital: Latias and Latios," takes place in a mysterious city on water. A baffling maze of canals and alleyways provides the glamorous setting for the continuing adventures of Ash and his Pokémon. Think of Venice, with all the unique thrills and challenges of Pokémon. JAPANESE PROPOGANDA! thats right! thanks to 'frank' from my league, we have some flyers straight from the pokemon center in osaka japan! lets see... first up we have a cool playmat featuring the rules of the game straight from the mc donalds promo cards given out at... well... at mc donalds aaw... lookit all the 3d pokemon... and i KNOW everyone will love this! its the amazing.. wonderful... essential (and probably wrongly translated).... COIN FLIPPING TUTORIAL! and fortunatly ech here can translate it for you! [gets out echidna's big book of japanese translations that he made up and are not to be taken seriously EVER, volume 3 and starts reading] 1. place hand that is not left hand onto table with green mat. you may attempt to use other color mats however any coin flipping action with these mats is purely coincidental and must not be used as a binding contract. 2. a magic purple coin will then appear in your hand. scientists have determined that this purple coin, while being magical is NOT edible... we repeat, do NOT eat this coin. (you may however attempt to get your opponent to.) 3. thrust thumb out from its safe resting place nestled in the cavity of your hand that is not your left hand. the coin shall then go pummelling through the airspace into your opponent's forehead region rendering them unconcious or angry. Wizards has finally posted the 20 randomly-selected finalists for the Create-A-Snorlax-Card contest, and you can vote on which one gets printed on a promo card. Below is the link, behind it is another, bigger link. If you follow the directions you shouldn't get lost... maybe they'll draw like pure someday Rate all of them 1-5, then I guess best score wins. Certainly simple enough... imho, 6, 7, 8, 13, 16 and 20 seem to be in good running. =) And then there's Project Zeo with another excellent card. Today it's Dark Golem... unfortunately I can't tell you much about it. Here are the photos confirming the rumours on WizPog - all were taken April 7th 2002 at the UK Challenge in Rainham, Kent UK The MTMMew photo shows MTM playing an opponent before the main tourney - notice the two Mews he has in play (one in his hand) <gasp> unreleased promos!? MewPromo shows the best pic I could get - it's blurry but the power prevents the attack from evolutions while Psyshock is a standard 10 attack with Paralysis flip mew! BuzzPromo show the new Electabuzz - with a Lightning Rod attack first - attach to any one of your opponents. The two Lightning attack is 'does 20 damage to all POke with rod attached'. get a buzzzzzzz! Purity - this is in return for the favour w.r.t. the Sneasel picture. The promo numbers I believe are 46 for Buzz and 47 for Mew although I have forgotten. Both have yet to be released globally. Enjoy =) -fK

BUT! its for the better i think. the new set will be called.... LEGENDARY COLLECTION..... oooooh doesn't it sound.... legendary? The set that was known as "Champions" has had a name change. The official name is now. "Legendary Collection" This name will not change as it is final. Just thought I would bring you all up to date. There will be two theme decks released sometime after the set releases. They will be called "Magma" and "Storm" DMTM   wHey, it's another one of those Projecty Zeo-y card dealies! Today's card is Smeargle, the artistic Pokémon. Look at him wiht his tail that oozes fluid. Thinks he's so big. I'll show him. I'll show them all! Listing, and send them some of your artwork, they will really appreciate your help, espeically with only around 50 Pokémon left to do! while adding the new professor info last night, pure updated the origins page as well! thanks pure! take a look and see what you can expect at the premier gaming event this summer. man... i wish i could go to origins... it sounds really great, and thats just lookin at the pokemon aspect! point of origin and finally... mtm has posted another article about the rochester draft of the last stadium challenge. the rochester draft was really well done for them holding it for the first time ever in such a large scale. as it says in the article pure and i are doing some writeups about the rochester as well as everything else at the stadium.... you'll probably be able to see those after mtm gets back from europe... which offhand i'm not sure when it is, but rest assured... he will come back! (unless he doesn't) where'd they get the name rochester anyway? thats about it. sorry for the extremely lame update... hopefully i'll have my scanner working again so i can have something cooler to update with.

we got a busy weekend lined up as its only two more until the next stadium challenge in chicago.. so much to do and so little time to do it.... @_@ Section Updates Tournament Worlds Links posted by marril2k    in a really quick sectin update tonight we have a bunch of hotel links for the worlds page in seattle this summer. thanks to marril we have links for just over half of the hotels in the area. ...better start arranging now! this weekend should also mark some other site updates in the area of the league pages and tournament pages... so stick around!   okay, its not really pokemon specific news, but it kinda leads into a few things.... Thousands of Star Wars Enthusiasts to Gather at Celebration II in Indianapolis -- The Largest Star Wars Event in the Galaxy  (Business Wire) Lucasfilm today announced that thousands of Star Wars fans from around the world will gather in Indianapolis, Indiana May 3-5 for Star Wars Celebration II, the largest get-together of Star Wars fans ever, to celebrate the release of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, which opens in theaters around the world May 16. so may 16th is the second star wars movie...i know a lot of people are anxious about that... personally i'm more excited to see spiderman on may 3rd. that just looks oustanding! from what i have seen, men in black II looks like it'll be a sure fire hit this summer, and then this winter is where you'll get bigger names coming in. november 15th marks the date of harry potter and the chamber of secrets, which they promised would be more exciting than the philosophers/sorcerors stone... might be hard to do because (in my opinion) the chamber of secrets was the most boring book of the four. pokemon 4: celebi a timeless encounter will be released in theaters thanksgiving weekend and hopefully the movie should be better than the last ones. like we said last night, miramax will be producing the film as opposed to kids wb, so perhaps they won't 'water it down' like wb did with all the other pokemon movies. kinda like princess mononoke and how it retained a lot of its japanese themes and everything. pokemon 4 is a lot darker than the other movies, so perhaps they will retain some of that. and then finally the two towers, second in the lord of the rings trillogy is released at the end of the year marking 6 movies i actually want to see this year.... a far cry from the 1-2 i usually want to see.... -_- what movies are you looking forward to? discuss it on the forums Up in the sky! Yippy Skippy! Shining Magikarp is the Newest Japanese Pokemon Fun Club Promo. It is the same Shining Magikarp as the one from Neo Revelation, but as you'll notice, it isn't holographic in the background like the Neo Revelation one. Instead, the Magikarp is like the Neo Destiny Shining Pokemon, where the Pokemon are shiny, but the background isn't. The card doesn't have three stars in the rairty and is a darker blue. To obatain this card, there's only one way: you have to earn 600 points in the Pokemon Fan Club. ...its STILL not fun club porygon. And whats this! More Update Material! Thanks Togetic! At participating Hardee's and Carl's Jr. restaurants, there are now Pokemon toys.... let's see what's on the menu for tonight Section Updates Deck Atelier deck fixes! gloom and mini       ok...a little rundown on the pokemon center thing. i left a bunch of stuff out last time cause people kept im'ing me.....anyways, there are a few things to know. if you go to the center to play cards in the tcg area, you should know that it's sort of not there right now. it's been turned into pokemon story time. the pokemon get machine is still dispensing eggs.....hmmm.....oh! and there are a lot of things on SALE! cards are 10% off, the new pokedoll line of plushes are 30% off, and t shirts are 25% off. pretty good deal on the shirts. i got a couple of the pokedolls cause they FINALLY got the new ones in.... look at what i got! the oddish in the middle isnt a pokedoll, it comes in a gift assortment and its my free gift.   the card is there for scale. so cute! anyways, today they are giving out stamper sets (probably the little rolling kind) tomorrow is bandannas. you should head on over if you can. ok, april fools is over. some of you really believed nick was working here..i think hoped is probably closer...some of you figured it had to be a joke. it was fun wasn't it? nick talked to me about it a few weeks ago, and it sounded like fun, and it was fun on this end....trying to make it seem as natural as possible. plus we got some project zeo art out of it! i meant all i said though. i was pleased to work with nick on this, and i hope that the pesky few who still persist in thinking there's some sort of inherent rivalry between the sites now have an excuse to chill out. and one more lesson for you....NEVER believe anything nick tells you on april fools! ;) me...i won't lead you too far astray. :D anyways, i was happy to see how positively people reacted to it on our forums. i was very proud of our community. hey! we got a project zeo card for you. take a look! art and attacks by raincloud, it's an....   awesome bellossom! how was your weekend? good? ours was pretty good. new month! time is flying.....lots of gym challenges scheduled for this month as well as the chicago stadium challenge. drop by the tournament section and check on the schedule to see if there's one near you. Section Updates Deck Atelier deck fix posted by poinko main archive march 2002 posted by zeo   ech spent a lot of time working on fixing up some sections yesterday, and he's still hard at it. thanks ech! i've only been meaning to tackle some of those jobs for weeks now.....anyways he's also archived all of march, so the page is nice and neat now. good old ech. bonus midday update!!! well....ordinarily i'd leave this til tomorrow, cause then i would have update material for tomorrow....BUT if you can get to the pokemon center today, then GO cause they're giving out really great plushes! if you go to the website, and look up that big gift box, the one that has chansey and eevee and lapras and bulbasaur and oddish, thats what you get..you get one of the plushes out of that box. FREE!! they like you to have the coupon from the newspaper but they gave me an oddish without a coupon. so, if you can get down there, git! there's plushes at stake!!! actually there was quite a crowd there. i talked to the guy who does the design in the store, and he gave me three #40's. i think i'll go back on wednesday for the stamper set......still got eggs in the pokemon get machine. bleh.....oh well, pokemon is pokemon. i have a big collection of pokemon from pokemon center eggs.   well when i did get on aim a lot of people were asking me about nick's card art....he sent it to me too late for me to get it in last night, but i'll put it up now so you can stop asking me what it is....here are 2 new project zeo cards! paras parasect and...look. people have been asking me on aim about the post nick made at pa! ..... i don't go there, but it's been read to me. i'm surprised that he'd post so abruptly, but he and i have been talking about this for a couple of weeks now. he approached me on the subject of leaving pa! a couple weeks ago, and i was willing to keep the nearly a year of pretty good work we did together in mind on this. a lot has gone on between sites that has nothing to do with their respective webmasters, and i don't need to be told how sick and tired a webmaster can get of it. while leaving a site seems like an extreme move, i think you all should respect the decisions people make. they know more about their motives than you do. thanks for the card art and the emails, nick....and welcome to zeo.   i think i'm going to head into manhattan tomorrow and check out the pokemon center pokemon party thing. according to the schedule, we get free pokemon plush toys. i'm all about that, so, off i go. i'll be sure to let you know how that goes. maybe i'll run across scoundrel and we can have a game. hopefully they're giving out legendaries in the get machine now, and not eggs......also, i do beleive league is scheduled to start in april at the center, so i'll see if i can get more specific info on that.   well! the poll has closed, and it looks like jolt will have to perform a humiliating penalty. hopefully we'll have his penalty done and ready for tomorrows update. but for now, linger in dreadful anticipation!!!! i'm sure jolt is...... project zeo was a real brainwave....it was really hard keeping up with the zeo edition, doing the art every night and all. but we liked having a card every day....what to do....how about....let the site goers help make the cards!! anyways, it worked out well for everyone. a lot of people got their work seen, another set of all 251 is nearing completion, and i didn't have to do anything but referee!! :D but anyways, i'm glad we decided to do it. pretty much only good has come of it, and i got a real boost at the end of a hard couple of weeks when i got an email offering some art for the set.....it pleases me to say that we're once again going to be working with our old partner in crime, nick15! today, project zeo cards....tomorrow....who knows? could be the start of a whole new era.... but, while we wait for nick's art, why not take a look at today's project zeo card? Listing, and send them some and help out! hey all.... just ech here with a little addendum to tonight's update. i remember two years ago today i was entering this trivia contest that i saw on the old pa! forums... being run by this person named purity. well... i was the only one to actually show up for the contest, but i must say that i was the best contest i've entered because i came out with so much more than a pack of neo cards (yes.. she did give me the prize even tho i was the only one entered.... isn't she the best? :) ) i came out with the best friend anyone could ask for... or even imagine. pure and i have been through a lot in the past two years. both together, and apart.. we've been through a lot of bad times, but i think even more good times. no matter how many times we get hit or knocked down we are always able to rebound back stronger than ever. no matter what, i know that she's always been there for me, and i hope that i've always been able to be there for her too. she's been one of the best parts of my life and i can't ever thank her for it, or even know where to begin. i wanted to make something special for today, but unfortunatly i got sidetracked with other events... i'm sorry pure... i will try to make it up to you tho. i would like to thank you so much for being my friend, and letting me be yours. thanks for a wonderful two years, and here's to many more. :) -ech
