Owners of
Pokémon Stadium 2 are in for a truly rare surprise,
as the game marks the North American debut of the extremely
rare 251st Pokémon, Celebi. The diminutive Celebi has
been the subject of much rumor and speculation, but precious
little solid information. A peek in Earl's Pokémon
Academy, though, reveals that this Psychic- and Grass-type
Pokémon is naturally so powerful that it only
qualifies for the Prime Cup. Even more intriguingly, Celebi
has the nickname of "Timetravel Pokémon."
You can rent Celebi, but first you'll have to enter Round 2
of Pokémon Stadium 2 by battling your way through all
the cups, Gym Leader Castle and Rival.
We'll try to find out more about this extremely rare
Pokémon, including opportunities to glimpse it in
other Pokémon games. We'll keep you posted as soon as
we learn any insider information.
