well...what do you think...i went to the qualifier tournament in braintree massachusetts. i got my picture taken a few times and lots of people liked my hair. i didn't see anyone from the forums tho....too bad huh?

well, let's get on with it....this is what happened.

first off did you see my promo card i made to commemorate (commiserate) this historical (hysterical) event? it's right here.

i might have done better if i'd printed up a few of these...

well, anyways...i got there a bit early, and signed up for the super trainer showdown qualifier. there were a lot of booths and stuff set up here and there...this is the main-ish area here.

then i had some time to kill so i tried to eat something but couldn't. i was stressing over there not being enough energy in my deck, so i went and bought a couple gym boosters. no psy energy, but i did get a sabrinas gengar, which i needed for my grass psy deck which i didnt bring. what are the odds? oh well. so i went and had my deck checked and waited around for my turn. many people admired my outfit. here i am standing in line.....

 

so, then they let us in and we found our places. i played a really nice guy who had a psy/grass deck too. things got off good for me pokemon wise...but alas i couldn't seem to pull any energy.

this sucked. plus, he got his erikas victrebells going right off the bat, so my poor basic gastlys and psyducks didn't stand much of a chance...he won by drawing more prizes at the time limit. since i was expecting to lose it was ok, and i really had a lot of fun playing him. i've been thinking of trying a deck with victreebels, now that i've seen one in action i really want to try one myself...

 

 

so, so much for that. i decided to go make my own pokemon card....:D now that's something i don't suck too bad at....

 

a lot of people were hanging over my shoulder watching me do it. they liked the drawing. i said i have a website with fake cards on it. this is what i made....a mewtwo. i colored it with crayons.

i had a reserve to play in the king of the hill, but by now my mom and sister had sort of been just hanging around doing nothing for half the day. they didn't want to just leave me at the mall tho, so i agreed to leave and go head over to the...aquarium, or something. on the way out we passed the pikachu car. photo op!

 

then i remembered i wanted to go to software etc. and buy some more boosters. know what they had? first ed gym challenge! no lie!! i bought four packs, opened the first one and what was the rare? what? what was it do you think? look and see!

hot damn! first ed!

anyways out of a total of nine packs of cards i bought today i got 5 holos. pretty damn good. they were koga's ditto, blaine's charizard, lt. surge (again), lt. surge's fearow, and sabrina's gengar.

 

well anyways, that's all pretty much what i did at the qualifier.
