Have You Been Smoking Weed Again?!

Welcome to Saberslash Alpha’s Workout room, where we make decks trim and fit for all of your Pokémon needs.

Today we have a deck from Drunken Monkey, who says:

"*Note:I am using two [Pokémon] that inflict status problems and 2 that hunt...KEEP IT THAT WAY!!

Lets see...mass removal... trapping their pokemon in dire situations, controlling their death and letting them fall to their doom yeah, sounds nice to me. Essentially a lot of free retreating decks have shown up really giving me a hard time, but I have managed to pull off many wins by acting swiftly and pinning their pokemon where I want em. Again lassing the opponent aint so good when you know they have cleffas so I don't bother too much until I know I have killed it off via on the bench with Weepinbell etc. I have used Hunting and trapping tactics to pull my opponent around and it proves rather useful. Thoughts?"

And her deck is as follows:

15 Energy
11 Grass Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

15 Pokémon
4 Erika's Bellsprout (Lv. 13)
2 Erika's Weepinbell (Lv. 30)
2 Erika's Weepinbell (Lv. 26)
2 Scyther (Jungle)
2 Oddish (Team Rocket)
1 Cleffa (Neo Genesis) *I finnaly got a Cleffa!!!!!* [Editor's note: Great!  =D]
1 Rocket's Scyther
1 Elekid

29 Trainers
3 Computer Search
4 Professor Oak
2 Impostor Oak's Revenge
3 Lass
3 Super Energy Removal
4 Gold Berry Pokémon Tool
2 Nightly Garbage Run (Rocket's Secret Machine)
2 Chaos Gym Stadium Card
2 Rockets Training Gym Stadium Card
1 Sprout Tower Stadium Card
3 Energy Removal

Well first we have to remove the excess weight from the deck to make it run better and rid it self of cards that could hurt your strategy.

-2 Chaos Gym
-2 Rockets Training Gym
-1 Sprout Tower
-2 IoR
-1 Rocket's Scyther
-1 Elekid
-1 Goldberry
-2 R Oddish

Now the “fat” is gone so lets add in some muscle by throwing a bit of recovery and tech cards.

+2 E. Victreebel: Built in GOW and nice damage attack
+1 Scyther (Jungle)
+2 Quilfish/Wooper: For tech against this deck's main weakness, Fire; try the two and see who works better.
+2 Celedon City Gym: Rid your Erika’s Pokémon of nasty status effects
+3 Bill
+2 Grass Energy
+1 Nightly Garbage Run

These additions should allow for a little more versatility in disruption, card drawing, and healing.  The strategy remains the same with disruption by Energy Removal, Lassing, and Trapping with Erika’s Weepinbell.  The Water Pokémon should allow for a little anti-Fire measures so a Magmar or other Fire type does not ruin your day.  I hope that this deck works better and keeps your opponent on the defensive.
