Hackman's Ech's Analyst

Issue #37e - You don't have the fortitude...

okay... lets see what we can rig up here. i'll see if i can't analyze some of the more interesting cards out there.

now lets take a look at one of the ugliest, but one that proves hard to kill... Giovanni's Machamp.

[sounds of muffled screams come from an open closet] um..... [ech shiifts over to the closet and closes the door with his foot]

Reasons for use

> Card List

Giovanni's Machamp line (Fortitude, Hurricane Punch)
Gligar (Free retreat, POISON!)
Cleffa (Neo) (oh come on... this is just obvious by now)
Tyrogue (yeah... they're everywhere... blasted things)
Sudowoodo (not the greatest, but it varies weakness)
Corsola (again... varies your weakness and gets past resistance)

Gold Berry (good to use after fortitude)
Focus Band
(Double chance to save machamp!)
Misty's Wrath
(um... obvious)
Professor Elm
(see above)
Masterball (see above the above)
Giovanni/Viridian Gym (okay... they aren't the BEST cards, but they help machamp)
Moomoo milk (risky, but worthwild after fortitude)

> Deck Objective

okay.... the real objective of this is.... to... NEVER..... die. seriously... a machamp with a focusband has a 25% change to be ko'd. then if you heal is and add another focus band.... ouch.

use the 'other' cards to hold your own until you can hurricane punch for upwards of 120 damage, average of 60. for some experimenting perhaps add in some steel. steel never hurt anyone.... darkness on the other hand... ;)

> Deck Weaknesses and Counters

goop gasp and bench hitting attacks are dangerous.... and iggly CAN be, if they have a hunter deck, but thats really the only time the puffball becomes a nuisance.

fast psy decks are a problem (isn't that an oxymoron tho....) because the preevos of machamp... well.... ain't all that good. use the giovanni trainer to at least GET 'champ' out so you have fortitude to c.y.a.
